Indian Super League is new football league in India. It was introduced in October 2013. This league consist of eight teams from all over the country. This league is played from September to December annually. After the great success of cricket league i.e. Indian Premier League, a football league was introduce to develop football as number one sport in India. This League is little different from other leagues. It does not follow the rules of Promotion and Relegation. It uses a franchise system. Eight teams were created according to this system.
